Welcome to our unique and vibrant 2nd Grade Dual Language classroom, where authentic cultural and academic experiences prepare students for success in a 21st century global economy! Located in the mountains of Western North Carolina, our students -- a mix of native Spanish and English speakers -- spend half of their day in a Spanish-speaking classroom and half their day in my English-speaking classroom. They study Language Arts and Social Studies in Spanish, and Science and Math with me in English. My co-teacher and I serve a total of 30 students. We see 15 students in the morning, and then swap classes halfway through the day. Our students are curious, eager learners who have a goal of making their 2nd grade year their best year yet!
