My 7th graders are entering junior high for the first time. This is a huge transition for them. They have a 90 minute class with me where they get to explore, investigate and explain scientific phenomenons each day. Inquisitive, creative, and curious describe my incoming 7th grade scientists! Each of my students have their own strengths and needs. They range from highly gifted to struggling learners. The environment and best learning practices varies for each student and I am trying to provide even more options for those students. My students' willingness to help one another is beautiful to watch. In my class, they investigate, explore, make claims, provide reasoning, discuss and engineer ideas with their peers. They collaborate brilliantly! I admire their enthusiasm for learning and acceptance of all.
