My students are a diverse group of learners. Most of them come from a low soci-economic background and are not always exposed to a rich learning environment. They are all excited about learning and I want to help facilitate learning for them. My school community is a strong one, and the faculty cares a lot about our students because they usually need so much help and support, not only in academic areas, but in emotional and mental support as well. We have a holiday program to give gift to our own students because some of them don't get any gifts during the holidays. We also have brought in/bought coats for our students in need at our school. Also, often my students are living with multiple families, or in and out of apartments, I even have one student living in a homeless shelter. Overall, the materials requested for my class will greatly benefit them and help me to provide the greatest learning opportunity for them.
