Thomas Jefferson is arguably the best comprehensive high school in the city. Because of this, students from all over Richmond flock here for the best education that the inner-city offers. Yet as the story goes for most public schools, funds are extremely limited, which leads to some English classes packed with 30-plus students and dusty, dated book sets. Despite the high percentage of at-risk students at TJ, we serve a population that does not think that having a free or reduced lunch is any indication of what they are capable of achieving. Our students are bright, creative, and eager for new learning experiences. This is where the community comes in to lend a hand. With such meager funds available, every little bit helps. Thank you for any assistance in helping us reach our goals.
