Year after year, over 90% of my students come from homes where English is not spoken. This creates a language gap that is difficult to bridge in a classroom of 21 students. With over 700 students, my school and its students struggle with the curriculum largely because they cannot access the language in which it is written. It has always been my belief that the language gap prevalent at my school could be remediated with additional and varied experiences with the language. This is what I hope will happen with the digital listening center I wish to provide for them.
