Keyboards are used everyday in my music classroom. Having a new working keyboard for our students will allow them to have access to a full 88-key instrument that can be used for practice, rehearsals, as well as performances throughout the year. In addition this upcoming school year myself and another music teacher will be starting an after school brass band. This group plans to perform at sporting events as well as hosting our own concerts. This trombone will give students a chance to learn a brass instrument as well as learn about the rich tradition of New Orleans style brass bands. Our goal for this school year is to put on four programed musical performances that will include singers, rhythm players, and wind players. These concerts will be programed by the students and will include 7-12 graders. With your help our students at our academy will have a new reliable keyboard that will help inspire future musicians and music lovers!
