Students will be focusing on ethical and moral underpinnings of our role in society. We will focus on many of the major turning points in history and and how things have changed in the last hundred years. Students will have to create informative posters, write essays, and do oral exams based on what they read and learn in the class. These books will provide a foundation for students to participate in debates, deepen their understanding of the issues while providing them with an understanding of the past and how it affects the present. Then we will look at the moral and ethical issues that have as a society. We will be asking questions like what is your moral/ethical obligation to society. What are we to do to make a difference in the world. How can we be effective agents of change in the future.
