My students build their love for reading when they can relate and see themselves in the books they choose. Creating a space for kids within the classroom to read a book of their choice independently not only allows them to expand their thinking, but increases their fluency and comprehension. However, with a high population of English Language Learners, this can become challenging. By donating to our project, you'll be arming students with books and the dictionaries they need to break barriers but also helping them grow as readers. Having the right tools will give my students the knowledge and confidence they need to be successful.
