My students would benefit from having an iPad in our classroom. There are SO many different applications available for phonics, comprehension, and other basic reading skills. We would also be able to use it for mathematics. Reading builds on itself and if they do not have the basics down they will fall more behind their same-aged peers. There are some very basic letter-sound applications that my students would be able to use. They need to get their basic sounds down in order to read more fluently. If they are able to read more fluently they will also have a better chance at comprehending what they have read. There are also so many different applications for mathematics. Right now my students are working on adding and subtracting. Much like reading, math also builds on itself. My students need to have their basic math skills in order to try to catch up with their same-aged​ peers.
