My students are hardworking, resilient, and full of potential. As a high school English teacher, I work with a diverse group of learners, including English learners, first-generation college-bound students, and students who have faced academic or personal challenges. Some arrive unsure of their abilities, but it is incredibly rewarding to watch them grow into confident readers, writers, speakers, and leaders. Our classroom is a place where students are encouraged to think critically, express themselves, and support one another. Whether we are analyzing literature, preparing speeches, or discussing real-world issues, I strive to create an environment where every student feels valued and capable of success. With the right resources, my students can continue to achieve far more than they ever thought possible.
