I teach in an Alliance District in Connecticut. Simply put, we are among the "bottom 30" school districts within the state. Although we have a devoted and caring faculty and staff, the town does little to financially support the efforts of our schools, and therefore we are unable to provide our students with technology and texts that will better prepare them to compete with their peers in college and beyond. As a teacher, I cannot believe that we are willing to do our children such a disservice and expect them to be excited to go to school each day. Help me to give my student the tools that they need to succeed!
