This fall my new eager 5th grade learners will be starting the year in a distance learning format. My wonderful new students will be meeting me via their district issued Chromebook on the first day of school. The first week of school is generally filled with engaging, fun, get to know you activities such as shared reading, writing and drawing. Students always eagerly walk into the first day looking forward to checking out what supplies are in their pencil boxes. My students need basics such as notebooks, pencils, colored pencils to help engage them in the first few weeks of remote learning
