I have taught 3rd grade for 15 years but just moved to a new community where I will be teaching a new (as in newly formed) 3rd Grade classroom. I have yet to meet my students but I want the children to come into the classroom this year and be SO excited to get started learning and hope that enthusiasm continues all year long with lots of hands-on projects. The classroom has some materials like desks and tables, but will be needing some other basics like cubbies (there are no lockers), dry erase boards, comfortable seating (bean bag chairs, wobble seats), paper, and manipulatives, among other things. I am waiting on my own personal books and collections of animal artifacts, rocks, and more to ship over so I can get them set up for the students. School here starts soon at the beginning of August and I have been busy getting the room ready. I am looking forward to creating an exciting space for some great learning and I appreciate your consideration! We're all on a new learning adventure!!
