The young scientist in my classroom loves to learn about new phenomena in the real world through creative activities. When they are given the opportunity to figure out things on their own, they take ownership of their learning. They become more motivated to think critically when given the opportunity to compete in groups. The BreakOut EDU kits will not only give my students the opportunity to think critically, but they will be collaborating with their peers to explore the phenomena presented to them. Collaboration is an important skill needed in the classroom to create a positive learning environment for all students. Critical thinking and collaboration are essential to produce young scholars who become productive citizens in the future.
