This week, a few students asked, "When are we going back to school?" The question caught me off guard because I did not have a definitive answer for them as the return date was still being negotiated. Upon hearing that question, I realize it is my duty to provide the safest and most comfortable environment for my students when they return to face-to-face instruction. I brainstormed ways I could turn my classroom into their home away from home. My second graders love being able to choose their seating in the classroom and the LapGear Lap Desks will allow them that freedom! Being able to work on their assignments from anywhere in the room increases their engagement and has a positive effect on their academic gains. The Privacy Shields will help my students adhere to the health guidelines, providing them with that extra layer of protection beyond their masks. I know my students yearn to be back in the classroom with their peers and I want to ensure that when they return, they remain safe!
