These kindergarten students attend an elementary school where more than 70% of the student population qualify for free or reduced lunch. With a high Hispanic population (74% of the students), most of these students come to school with no exposure to the English language or multiple opportunities for positive social interactions. Providing them with playground equipment will encourage independent choice, raise awareness for the anti-bullying campaign, Be Kind, promote turn-taking, as well as, showing respect.

About my class
