I teach a class of 12 amazing students all with varying levels of disabilities. I am knowledgeable of them all, having taught or serviced all of them in previous years. They have incredible skills and talents, not in the conventional way, but in ways that will bring warmth to your heart and inspire you to want to give them your very best. I am always eager to find innovative and exciting ways to encourage their leaning and make them happy that they are in my classroom. My students are not defined by their disabilities but by the effort they put forth each day. For them and me as well, it's not always easy as each day brings new and unexpected challenges. But when at the end of the day, one student can say "I don't want to go home because I had so much fun in school today", I am happy to know that the learning experience has been the best of the best for them. When they are happy so am I.
