The students in my classroom are special education students whose disabilities range from intellectually disabled to having a learning disability. Just like any other student they are eager to work on computers and learn how to work various programs. They all have goals this year to learn to use computer programs that they can utilize in the workplace and/or in college. Our school is in the inner city and our equipment is not the best. The students in the school are respectful and eager to learn an create positive outcomes for themselves. Most students are in the process of planning for the next step in their lives after high school. It is important that they get the exposure to technology that is necessary to be successful in college and beyond and unfortunately or school cannot provide the materials that are necessary without additional funding.
