Do you love competition? Do you remember the little details in books you read? Do you like working with a team? These are some of the questions that my students answer yes to so that they can participate in our school Battle of the Books Competition. Adventure awaits behind the covers of the 8 children's books that have been selected for the battle of the books competition that my students are asked to read. Many of my students do not have the resources needed to purchase all of these books so I provide multiple copies of each book for them to borrow from our library. From topics of The Freedom Ride and the Twin Towers to adventure and even tacos, students will read books that they normally would not choose for themselves! Please help us get the books that they need so they can be knowledgeable and prepared competitors in the battles.
