Many of my students have not traveled outside of Everett. Having this magazine will help them stay informed as to the world, not only in their local neighborhood. Scholastic magazines have been around since the I was a little girl. Now it is easy to look up a topic online but these magazines will help obtain some excitement through a different print source. In addition, having access to this magazine every child in my class will not only be able to read the magazines but will be able to take them home to share with their families! This will serve as an excellent home and school communication liaison. Not to mention, having access to this resource will help improve the reading interests amongst my students which can have a domino effect on comprehension. Please consider helping me to affectively help open the world up to my students.
