This year I will be going to a new school and my students and I will be working together as a family. It is our mission to be a family of learners. In order to do that we need to have a classroom rug where we can all come together and learn. It is beneficial to move away from their desk, pick up a clipboard and learn up close. This rug has clearly defined spots for the students to sit so that they can remain focused on what is being taught. In this area we will read, write, experiment, listen, collaborate and brainstorm together. By helping gift this project to my second grade students you will make learning fun and will bring a family community that every classroom needs.
