I teach in a very rural area. Many of my students are from Hispanic backgrounds and are faced with the challenges of trying to learn a new language along with the concepts we are teaching. Many of my other students deal with parents that are forced to work multiple jobs to make ends meet. Overall my kids are ones that know how to overcome adversity and work hard. We are a small public school district that works together to meet the needs of our students with very limited funding. We need any extra help that we can get.
