Our school focuses on developing leaders who make the world a more just place. Taking care of the environment aligns with this mission. Each week, our Green Team gathers recycling from every single classroom, office, and common area. Currently, these 18 ambitious 10- to 14-year-olds are having to literally lift and carry our current recycle bins, which often weigh up to 40 pounds. Sometimes it seems like they are lifting more than they themselves weigh. Talk about dedicated leaders! If we receive rolling recycle bins, then our students will have extra time to determine and implement ways to make our community even greener! Our Bears need YOU!
