The listening center will make a difference in my student's lives because it will allow them a chance to build both fluency and comprehensions skills. It will also allow them to pick books within their interests and build stamina by listening to those books. My students are subjected to limited exposure to books and read alouds outside of the classroom setting due to numerous variables. The listening center will reinforce their reading skills, offer the extra needed support, and increase reading desires. It will also help students who continue to struggle with print concepts and the orientation of books and language.
