My students come from a variety of backgrounds. Many of my students are from a low socio-economic demographic and do not encounter books outside of school. Often, my students are English Language Learners and struggle in reading. My school is a community who cares deeply for our students and envisions them becoming compassionate global citizens who positively impact society. Our school is constantly trying to find ways to not only support our students in their learning but in their life. Our students are our light and joy. They come to school eager to take in as much as possible and to rise above the challenges that have been placed on them.
