This year I will be implementing flexible seating for my students in my classroom. I want to make reading fun, enjoyable and relaxing. I believe creating a place where students feel comfortable will increase their willingness to want to take the time to read and write. Using the space comfy floor seats and the Giant Comfy Pillow as part of my flexible seating will give my students the freedom to move about my classroom and have a special spot to do there work. Flexible seating will also help those students who have a difficult time in sitting still in a desk. I also believe flexible seating will increase the amount of participation the students will engage in.
