Our students come to school with very few school supplies and very little support from home. Teaching staff and supplies have been cut to the bare minimum where the level of need in the students continues to rise. The students in our community are not provided with an equal playing field in the world of standardized testing based on many factors including home life, lack of parental involvement and lack of necessary resources within the school. My goal as a teacher is to do my best to provide these children with every opportunity possible in order for them to be successful and excited learners. The ability to have resources to not only do the work, but be proud of the work is essential in this success.

About my class
