We use them throughout our lessons to practice high-frequency words, spelling words, sentence writing, and grammar skills. During quick quizzes and review games, students can write their answers on their boards and hold them up for me to see. This allows me to quickly check every student's understanding at the same time and immediately reteach or clarify a skill when needed.\r\n\r\nWhat excites the students most is that the boards make ordinary practice feel more like a game. They love writing their answer, revealing it to the class, and then quickly erasing the board to get ready for the next question. Even practicing spelling words or writing sentences feels more exciting when they get to use the boards.\r\n\r\nI have especially noticed the impact on students who are sometimes hesitant to participate or raise their hands. The LCD boards give them a comfortable way to show what they know without having to answer aloud in front of the entire class. Students who may normally sit back during a lesson are eager to write their answers and hold up their boards.
