Welcome to Montreat College at Winterfield Elementary! I teach 2 classes of students from over 8 counties including South Africa, Thailand, Mexico, Honduras, Uganda, and Nepal. We are a happy bunch who are very motivated to learn! I have two math classes, a morning and afternoon. I switch with my partner teacher, who teacher literacy. Since so many of my kids are from different countries, they are still learning English. They know the math content in their language, but need to learn English to understand it here. During class they have time to use amazing math programs on the computer to practice. Since they are learning English they can listen to the questions being read to them on the computer. In order to do this, they need headphones so they can focus on their work and not get distracted by another student's computer!
