My students have many different literacy centers in my classroom. The listening center is one of their favorite places to visit and a great way to learn. This center will allow them to hear many stories read to them, develop a love for literature and increase their vocabulary. It also enables them to deepen their comprehension. They learn to work together and take turns while listening to a story on CD. This new learning center will help the students have a cozy, comfortable place to visit and listen to great stories read to them, as well as organize their books and headphones. It will allow them to clean up quickly and neatly so that the next group of students can learn. It also makes the materials more accessible for them.
