I have 24 wonderful and extremely driven students, none of them are alike, and all come from supportive and hardworking families. Though their families are hardworking, hard work does not mean they have money. The families my coworkers and I work with are living pay-check to pay-check. More than half of our student body qualifies for free or reduced lunches which has earned us Title I Status. I absolutely love where I work because of the students, families, and teachers I work with, but finding technology to use on a daily basis is difficult. We only have 7 mobile carts (16 laptops in each) to share amongst a school made up of more than 30 classrooms. These carts are the only computers we have for students to take their mandatory online assignments, as well as for research, completing projects, reading, and so on.
