My classroom is a place where all students can leave their problems at the door and learn about biology in a positive climate. My students come from a variety of backgrounds, yet all are excited to learn and work on engaging projects. With new science standards in California, science classes are shifting from "learning about" to "figuring out." Science teachers today are challenged with finding new ways to provide students with opportunities to solve real world problems. My students are ready and willing for these changes. There is no greater time to be a science teacher. I'm excited to offer some new, multi-dimensional learning experiences that help students deepen their understanding of science concepts from year to year.
