My students are 2nd grade students with kind hearts in a Title I school in Virginia. Students come from a variety of backgrounds including homes with both parents, single parents, and grandparents. Each parent sends their best to school every morning, and I work to the best of my ability to meet the needs of my students. This picture is from when my dad, a firefighter, visited my kindergarten class. Even though the picture is "old," I kept it because it is a reminder of how important it is for the teacher and students to have the support of their community.
