Children are active, hands-on learners. STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) allows children to investigate, explore, think, and create. STEM is our present and our future. Children need to be critical thinkers and prepared to do jobs that may not have even been created yet. By allowing children to be involved in their own learning, you are instilling a love of learning in them that will last a life time. Don't just teach them; show them and allow them to do things their way. Most children don't have access to science, or math, materials outside of the classroom setting. The light tablet and light table accessories will allow the children to view things from a different perspective. Children will use scientific inquiry and expand their vocabulary through scientific discussion. The STEM Activity Set will give the children many options in creating and experimenting. They will get a more in-depth look at engineering and how things work. The other varied materials will help make our STEM center an exciting place to be; full of learning and opportunity. These items will give my students the hands-on materials needed to thrive.
