In an art room, students do not work at the same pace, I often have a few students who will finish their project early. I would like to provide them a visual activity such as jigsaw puzzles of famous art pieces throughout history that they could do and do with other students. Studies have shown that Jigsaw puzzles help enhance visual perception, hones coordination, improves memory, develops critical thinking, heightens creativity and stimulates the whole brain. By having a puzzle table in my classroom, students will have an activity to work on that is visual while building a positive classroom environment and community.
