My first graders complete my heart. They are curious, always wanting to know more and "how". They are bursting with energy and love to move around the classroom and dance. Above all, they are learning every day how to treat their friends, and are quick to lend a helping hand to anyone in school. Many children in my class came here from a different country and speak a different language at home, from Spanish to Creole to Arabic. Although having a language barrier in the classroom can be a challenge, it also provides amazing learning experiences for each child and seeing them acquire knowledge about our language and culture is very special.
