Education is changing every single day, with COVID19 we as teachers witnessed firsthand just what it meant to not only be flexible, but what it meant to truly adapt. From being a first year teacher to a quarantine teacher, I definitely noticed the changes in my students, myself and the overall approach to learning. Technology has become rooted in education; curriculum trainings, meetings, data reviews and conferences are no longer expected to be stationed at school, but via webcam. Passed down and/ or outdated school technology has become a burden when dealing with today's new expectations of learning and communicating. Having a high functioning laptop gives me the opportunity to show up as my best teacher-self daily, leniency to plan and work effectively at home, track and monitor students data accurately to ensure high level instruction. Our students deserve more than the bare minimum.
