I’m a 5th grade math and science teacher at Beverly Middle School in Massachusetts. Fifth grade is such an exciting year for students—it’s a major transition as they become more independent, take on new responsibilities, and learn how to navigate middle school. My classroom is centered around building strong relationships, creating a safe and welcoming environment, and giving students opportunities to learn by doing. I love finding ways to make math and science engaging and meaningful, while also believing that every student should have access to the materials and experiences they need to participate fully in our classroom.
