My project focuses on giving students purposeful transitions in the classroom. By using this carpet students will know where to go and be excited to get there. Students learn best when they have fun and clear expectations and this carpet supports that. It also gives my class the freedom to choose their space each day. Freedom in choice has proven to stop negative behavior and foster a positive work environment. The new seating will help support students with exceptional needs by giving their own defined space without fear of others being in their area. This small change to our classroom will help enrich and organize our daily routines.
