Teaching Life Science can be so rewarding when students can see a real- life example of what they are learning about. Having living organisms join our class would be such a treat for my students. Following 7th Grade Life Science standards students will have the opportunity to conduct observations, use scientific inquiry, and learn about life cycles and life spans. Students will invest in caring for these organisms, along with being able to integrate them into our content. These materials will provide my students with the ability to maintain, observe, and explore habitats and the conditions need for pets to thrive. These will be completely student led, requiring responsibility, and maintaining a healthy environment. We have began to implement flexible seating in our classroom on a regular basis as well. Immediately our class has experienced the benefits. Students feel as though they can accomplish more tasks while staying focused, along with being motivated to do so. The other supplies will help to enhance my students learning so every diverse learning style can be reached.
