These materials will enable my students to have a genuine hands-on mosaic experience. Students will reflect upon both historical and modern mosaics to create their own designs. They will problem solve and collaborate to make unique artworks. This process will increase their art skill set while building their confidence and social awareness in the classroom. Do you remember your favorite childhood art project? Our students are constantly making memories while forming positive or negative opinions about school. It is essential for students to have as many positive interactions as possible as we prepare and motivate them to be "college and career ready." These mosaics will enable student artists to feel proud of their work and their school community.
