My kindergartners are full of energy and they are passionate. Although they are from a low socio-economic area, students come to school eager to learn. If I had one word to describe them, it would be "sponges" because they soak up everything I teach them! They are from ages 5-6 and all my students are English language learners. My school is very open to the community and loves to provide for our students and their families in different ways. We provide school-wide activities that are open to the public- such as carnivals and school-wide trick-or-treating. The principal welcomes visitors and teachers are also aware of the "open-door" policy.
