My project goal is to begin to update our school library with new and exciting materials. With this project, I am focusing on diversity. Students often will look for a book cover that they can identify and relate to at first glance. The books chosen for this project are primarily fiction books. There are materials that are picture books for the younger readers and fiction chapter books for the older elementary students as well. These materials will give students more opportunities to find themselves within the library shelves as we begin to update, a little at a time.
