My students have various special learning needs and are in the Life Skills Class. My students are caring, respectful, hard working, and very eager learners. They meet every challenge (physical, emotional, academic) with the "I can do it, just show me and let me try" attitude. My students have set personal goals for an independent life (post-high school). My students will need to transition into the "real world" prepared and ready to live the independent life they desire. To prepare them for the future, my students will need many opportunities and experiences in the work environment. My students are beginning to learn job readiness skills and self-sufficiency skills (ex. cooking, cleaning, laundry, how to budget money, buy food, pay bills). My students will then participate in the school districts' community based Career Connections Classes during their junior and senior years.
