Students in my classroom come from a largely rural community with limited access to technology. Tablets are a huge part of daily life now, and will continue to be in the future. Helping students understand responsible utilization of technology will better prepare my students for their future academic endeavors. Daily use of the tablets would allow my students to connect their learning with the world around them, building better citizens for the future. By using these tablets in all curriculum areas, I will use other educational resources to connect the skills from math, science, reading, and character building lessons with real world examples. The tablets will also allow my students to connect with one another. Using the tablet's camera, we will create a cloud based book club, where students can leave book reviews for other students. Technology and it's correct to use are some of the most valuable lessons today's students can learn. With your help, we can be sure students like mine can have the same opportunity to learn these skills as any other.
