My students are enthusiastic and eager to learn. They are motivated to gain knowledge and look forward to new challenges. My class is full of energy. They have a love for learning which inspires me. They explore their world through hands-on experiences, a work to create learning opportunities that are sparked by my students' interest, questions, and building upon their prior knowledge. I would love to bring more materials into my classroom to enhance my curious learners. In my class we spend time ensuring that students have the opportunity to teach each other. They have opportunities to share what they find by learning through one another. My school is a K-8 public school in a low income community located on the south east of Chicago. The majority of the students receive free lunch.
