The Covid-19 pandemic has lasted 2 years now and my classroom is constantly shifting. This year I started with 21 students, but now it is April and my student roster is down to 11. Although the class size is now small, they are students from 11 different buildings with very different backgrounds. I have BIPOC students, AAPI students, White students, and all with different abilities. They are a wonderful class and I would not trade them for the world. Our main connection is our passion for learning. I hope to give them the best 2nd grade year of their life despite the constant shifting in mask mandates and classroom transition of peers.
