My students are a bright, energetic, and wonderfully diverse group of middle schoolers who each bring their own unique strengths, interests, and personalities to our classroom. They are curious, funny, creative, and capable, but many of them face challenges that can make school feel overwhelming at times. As their special education teacher, I work hard to create a classroom where every student feels supported, understood, and confident in their ability to succeed. My students work incredibly hard, and they are at their best when they have the right tools and encouragement to help them get there. They may need a little extra support, a different way of approaching a task, or simply someone reminding them that they are capable. I am constantly amazed by their growth and resilience, and I want our classroom to be a place where they can take risks, celebrate their successes, and feel proud of themselves as learners.
