My students are a diverse group of 12th graders who are passionate, curious, and full of potential. They come from various backgrounds, bringing unique perspectives to our English classroom. Many balance school with responsibilities at home or part-time jobs and are preparing for life after high school—whether that means college, trade school, or entering the workforce. Despite their challenges, my students are eager to engage with literature, analyze complex texts, and express themselves through writing. They appreciate a welcoming and comfortable classroom environment, so I strive to make our space inviting and supportive. By providing them with the right resources—books, journals, comfortable seating, or simple snacks—I hope to foster a space where they feel encouraged to learn, share, and grow.
