My 10th-grade students are energetic, creative, and curious learners who are beginning their journey in our Teacher Education program. They are exploring what it means to become an effective educator while developing skills in lesson planning, classroom management, instructional strategies, and working with children. What makes this group special is their willingness to learn by doing. They enjoy creating, collaborating, and finding new ways to make learning fun and engaging. Throughout the year, they have opportunities to design lessons and instructional materials and gain authentic experience working with younger students. At this stage in their education, they are not expected to have teaching figured out—they are experimenting, taking risks, reflecting, and discovering the kind of educators they might someday become.
